Visualization and Meditation

On this page, we will learn how visualization and meditation can work together to create positive results in our lives. It is possible to do one without the other. However, when we combine both meditation and visualization together we get even more powerful results.

WHY IS THIS?

Let’s start with meditation. When we meditate, we calm our minds and induce a state of relaxation. In doing this we cut out the hustle and bustle of our daily lives and we connect with our higher selves. By connecting to our higher selves and by getting in a state of relaxation we are opening our minds to receive whatever it is we want it most to receive. Our minds are now more perceptive to our suggestions.

Now, lets talk about visualization. When we visualize something, we are creating in our minds, the situations in which we desire most. In doing this we are allowing our minds and our higher selves to experience those things we may not be able to experience in the real world just yet. However, our minds do not know the difference between creative visualization and reality and because of this, our minds put into motion that which we are visualizing.

Putting visualization and meditation together

Now lets put these two tools together and see what happens. When we meditate we are more relaxed and our minds are more open to the suggestions you make to it. Now when you are consciously visualizing that which you desire you are making suggestions to your mind and because it is now open to receive those suggestions you are more likely to see results sooner.

To take full advantage of these two tools, I suggest that you first find a quite place where you will not be disturbed (I sometimes like to do this when taking a nice warm bath.) You can choose any place that is comfortable to you. I suggest, however, that you not lay down until you have mastered these skills because you may become likely to fall asleep before you get to the visualization process .

Now, sit with your eyes closed in a quite space and focus on your breathing. Take a few deep breaths in and then out. As soon as you have done this a few times start to feel your body relax. Start at the top of your head and feel a warm light slowly moving down your head, then to your shoulders, all the way out to your finger tips, then down your spine and through your abdomen, down your legs and all the way to the ends of your toes.

Take your time as you feel each part of your body slowly getting more and more relaxed. Once you have done this, picture yourself next to a stream that has steps that descend toward the water. Slowly count backwards from 10 to 1 as you take a step down, moving closer to the water. Once you get to one you should be fully relaxed.

Now that you are fully relaxed you are free to visualize anything you desire. Be sure to put yourself in the situations you desire. If you want that dream home visualize yourself in it. Then slowly start walking around the house taking in every detail, including what you see, hear, smell, feel, and or taste.

You are not limited here, you can use visualization and meditation for anything you wish.
