Q) On your blog, Positivityblog.com you state that you are not an expert, you are an enthusiast as am I. I fell in love with the power of positive thinking and the real power behind it, when I was about 19 when someone gave me the book “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. Can You tell us what first sparked your enthusiasm into the world of positive thinking.
A) Well, one early spark in my late teens was the book The Tao of Pooh. But I didn't really get, interested in personal development and positive thinking until I was about 25. At that time I felt I needed to make positive changes to my life and as I improved and learned more I just became more and more fascinated with this area of life.
Q) Can you tell us what your motivation was to start your blog, what sparked the idea to share your vast knowledge and personal experience with others?
A) I just started it for fun, to share some of my own ideas and things I had learned about personal development. After a few months it became, to my surprise, pretty popular.
Q) Your book The Power of Positivity has inspired a great number of people and it covers a great number of topics. What type of people do you think would get the most out of your book and, why?
A) Well, the book covers a lot of areas in life such as a positive attitude, self-confidence and self-esteem, social skills, being mindful, becoming a person of action and even how to lose weight. So I guess it is for anyone who want to change their life for the better in those areas.
Q) Your blog is all about sharing your personal experience with others so that they may be inspired to create new possibilities in their own lives, Can you tell us about one of your big turning points in your own life that our readers might benefit from.
A) Most of my improvements and insights have come gradually, bit by bit. But one big thing and turning point for me was to be able to let go of my over thinking and indecisiveness. I got the biggest help for that by learning to be mindful and live in the now. I highly recommend checking out works by Eckhart Tolle for that, one good tip is his book A New Earth.
Q) If you could share just one tip with someone who is struggling to be more positive what would it be?
A) Ask yourself better questions on a daily basis. If you are in what you see as a negative situation, try to gain another perspective by asking questions like...
If you do this enough times then it will become a habit and your mind starts to do it more and more automatically. And so you develop a habit of seeing things form a positive and constructive perspective.
Q) Do you have anything else you would like to share with our readers about yourself or a product or service you offer that they may benefit from?
A) Well, as we have already mentioned I have a book called the Power of Positivity. I have also written a book called The Art of Relaxed Productivity, about how I have tripled my own effectiveness and productivity. And there is also a free book, called The 7 Timeless Habits of Happiness. You can read more about these three books on my book page. book page
