HELP FOR MY HUSBAND AND ME.

I smoked three packs of cigarettes a day. My husband smoked a pack and a half. My husband went to see his doctor, today. His blood pressure was through the roof. The doctor said he had to quit smoking right away.
I have the beginnings of C.O.P.D. I sleep in a hospital bed with my chest elevated. At night, I still cough up 10 or 15 minutes of flem before I can go to sleep. It is very uncomfortable.
Tonight, we quit. I am out of cigarettes, and my husband has six left. They will be gone before the night is out. Tomorrow, we are having black tea instead of coffee. Coffee is a trigger to cigarette smoking for us. We are using the patch and using gum. We will be successful this time. We have to be. It is a matter of life or death.
