Day 23 and 24 Thanksgiving Day Gratitude

by Bonnidette (site manager)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. Today is the day we give thanks, It is the perfect day to show our gratitude to our friends and our families. I love the concept of this holiday. It is a whole day dedicated to showing our gratitude, however it is sad this day is only celebrated once a year.

The challenge is to hold the gratitude that you feel today throughout the entire year. The great thing about this holiday though is that it gives us a platform, a spring board if you will, to kickstart our gratitude. What better day to showcase that which you are grateful for.

So, make use of this day. Don't just eat your turkey and watch football today, although those are very good traditions of this day, Make sure you give thanks and not just in some superficial way. Take out some time today to really count your blessings and share with the people you love the most, just how grateful you are for them.

You can take this one step further by writting a small notecards what why you are grateful for each member of your family and or friends and placing them at there place setting at the table.

What a great little treat for them to recieve. This not only shows them how grateful you are for them, but it shows that you took just a little extra time out of your day to put it in writting.

Another great idea is to go around the table and share with each one of your dinner guests what makes them special, why you are grateful for them today.

Today share your thanksgiving day gratitude with everyone you see today. For a little added treat today I will end this post with a few of my favorite thanksgiving day quotes. Enjoy and have a wonderful day.

Upon a day apart,
To praise the Lord with feast and song
