Gratitude Meditation

Gratitude Meditation

I thought to day was a perfect day for a gratitude meditation. So find a comfortable place to sit, close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose for a count of 2, feel your diaphragm fill with clean oxygen, hold it for a count of 4 and then slowly exhale through your mouth. Do this three more times and concentrate on your breath as you breath in and then out.

Feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed, melting into your seat. Feel your entire body become more and more relaxed as you slip into this gratitude meditation.

Now I want you to clear your mind and think of something you are most grateful for. Bring that object or that person into clear focus and revel in your gratitude for this person or thing. Let this gratitude fill you up and warm your insides.

Stay in this state of gratitude as you continue to breath in and then out. Feel your stress melt away, feel your heart expand, feel the love that surrounds you.

Now shift your mind to something else you are truly grateful for and hold it in your mind, see it clearly and continue your breathing. You will become even more calm and relaxed. Your body is being rejuvenated by your gratitude. Now I want you to say in your head or aloud "thank you," "thank you," "thank you". Repeat this phrase until you are fully engulfed with a feeling of gratitude and then slowly clear your mind once again, breathing in and then out feeling your diaphragm filling with oxygen and then letting that breath go.

slowly wiggle your fingers and then your toes and then slowly open your eyes and start your day from this moment in a state of gratitude.

I hope you enjoyed today’s gratitude meditation. This is a simple meditation you can use to de-stress and to re-start your day at any time. Enjoy the rest of your day and I will be posting again tomorrow. Till then, much gratitude to you.
