Affirmations helped me develop a positive mind

I have been using affirmations effectively for about 3 months straight. My thinking was so polluted with negative thoughts that my life was a total mess!
I received newsletters from people who teach the law of attraction, I have bought books, I watched positive related videos on YouTube, but never did much with any of it until I decided that enough was enough!
I started thinking: The only person responsible for taking charge and changing my life was ME! I started off slowly saying a few affirmations per day, then I kept it up every chance I got. I loved the feeling of being more positive! It made me feel great and I started having more hope for my future. I relish in the idea of thinking positive. I see changes in myself that I would not have seen 4 months ago, or even 1 year ago.
When people say affirmations don't work...don't you believe it!
