This Months Positive Article

This is were we get to the grit. Most of the time you will find articles here from other authors as I like to share the knowledge of others that have touched me in some way because you get what I have to say on the website. Sometimes however, I have a burning desire to write something just for my newsletter subscribers. Either way this is where you will find the best positive articles.

Visualize Yourself to Success

I mentioned earlier that many psychologists have studied the effects of creative visualization and have come to the conclusion that approximately 1 hour of visualization is equal to 7 hours of the physical equivalent. This may be hard for some of you to wrap your head around, but what most people do not realize is that thoughts are measurable units of energy and any scientific study, any science book you pick up will show you that. This isn’t just some pie in the sky maybe it will work kind of thing. It works weather you believe it to work or not, kind of like gravity, its working weather you believe it works or not.

So, how do you make it work for you. How can you visualize yourself to success? Like all things it starts with a beginning. That means you have to start somewhere even if that is only taking 10 minutes out of your morning routine to visualize that which you want the most. “I don’t know how to visualize”, you say.

It blows me away how many times I here this. Everyone can visualize. Don’t make this harder than it is. As children we daydreamed for hours about being an astronaut, a firefighter, a super hero and as adults most of us daydream (visualize) our immediate doom. What I mean is that most of us think about the worst case scenario and how to avoid it. Today try imagining the best case scenario.

Still not sure you can do it. Try this trick. It could just be your ticket to visualizing yourself to success. Try saying to yourself, “wouldn’t it be cool if…” and then fill in the blank, close your eyes and let the magic begin.

For example I might say, “wouldn’t it be cool if I could live on the beach in a grass hut.” Just saying the words aloud allows me to hear the ocean slapping against the shore, I feel the warm breeze as it blows through the hut and I see myself typing away at my computer while my kids make sand castles.

O.K your turn. Have fun with it, make it a game. Each morning think of something new that surrounds your idea of success and say wouldn’t it be cool if? And then close your eyes and image it happening.

I hope you enjoyed this months newsletter. If you have a specific question about positive thinking be sure to ask your question at ask a question, get an answer and I will be happy to share whatever knowledge I have on the topic. Thank you and I wish for you a month full of living life to the fullest.
