This Months Quotables:
People get what they want in life when they reach the point at which they can see themselves having what they seek.
~Thomas D. Willhite
An intense anticipation itself transforms possibility into reality; our desires being often but precursors of the things which we are capable of performing.
The young do not know enough to be prudent, and therefore they attempt the impossible - and achieve it, generation after generation.
~Pearl S. Buck
Never tell a young person that anything cannot be done. God may have been waiting centuries for someone ignorant enough of the impossible to do that very thing.
~John Andrew Holmes
The Creator has not given you a longing to do that which you have no ability to do.
~Orison Swett Marden
Dreams come true; without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.
As children we knew nothing was impossible and then something happened to us and we began to see limitations and slowly through the years we began to see impossibilities start to rise. I encourage you to find the child inside and rediscover that little person who had unlimited possibilities. To help you re-discover those possibilities I encourage you also to read The Art of Possibility: Transforming Professional and Personal Life. A book that will re-open the doors to possibilities you long ago closed.
This is were we get to the grit. Most of the time you will find articles here from other authors as I like to share the knowledge of others that have touched me in some way because you get what I have to say on the website. Sometimes however, I have a burning desire to write something just for my newsletter subscribers. Either way this is where you will find the best positive articles.

Spring Into Possibility
Spring is in the air, the flowers are blooming, the birds are singing and nature is all a buzz. This is the perfect time to explore new possibilities and to bring alive possibilities we once put aside. Why is it that spring makes me believe in possibilities, why should it make you believe in possibility?
Let me share with you a few things about nature and how it works. Be inspired by the nature around you. I want you, this month to take some quite time to yourself and just be with nature, watch the wonder that surrounds you. Pay close attention to nature, how it works and how you can relate nature to your own life, your own hopes, dreams, struggles and possibilities.
The Butterfly (struggles)
Lets first start with the tale of the butterfly. They are quite beautiful and they fly with amazing grace. These creatures do not take flight by chance, it is what they were born to do. As they sit in their little cocoons, they have dreams of flight, they have a burning desire to take flight, this desire is etched on their very fabric, but this desire does not come easily or without struggles.
There was once a man enamored with the beauty of nature and just outside his front door was a number of cocoons. Everyday he would watch as they moved about and he could see the caterpillar inside struggling to emerge and one by one they did, all but one. He watched this little cocoon struggle for 3 days and then he could not take it anymore and he took a pair of scissors and cut the little cocoon open .
He could not wait to see this little butterfly take flight, so he watched as it emerged from its little cocoon and began to flap its little wet wings, but there was something wrong. This beautiful creature could not fly. Its wings were little and weak.
You see the cocoon and the struggle to break free from it is what strengthens the butterfly’s wing, this struggle is what makes it possible for this little creature to fly, without that struggle his wings will never develop and he will never fly even though it is what he was born to do.
Where in your life have you taken the easy way out so you did not have to struggle? That struggle may just be what you must endure to find your wings and fly.
The Bumble Bee (impossibilities)
The bumble bee once studied by brilliant scientist was proven unable to fly and yet they flew anyway. The scientists studied the wing span, body shape, dimensions and weight of the bumble bee and compared the knowledge to the knowledge they already had on flight and with many mathematical calculations discovered that it was an impossibility that bumble bees could fly.
What I find amazing is they could see that the bumble could fly, but yet their calculations said they could not fly and so they set off on a journey to prove that bumble bees in fact could NOT fly despite the fact that they did fly.
Later research found that the original studies of the bumble bee were missing key elements and did not include very important factors that did in fact allow the bumble bee to fly. As a matter of fact bumble bees can fly as fast as 11 miles an hour. They don’t just fly, the soar.
My question to you is who in your life is telling you that you can not fly, who is telling you that your dreams are impossible? Is it you or someone important in your life? What factors are not being considered?
Dispite unveiling proof that the bumble bee could not fly, he flew anyway. It is now your time to fly. Remember, nothing is impossible. Even the word itself says I’M POSSIBLE.
The Eagle (faith)
The eagle in all it’s wonder gives birth to her offspring. She feeds them, nurtures them and keeps them warm as they grow. She is an attentive mother and caregiver. She knows they were born to fly and one day they must leave the nest and follow their destiny to soar in the great wide open sky.
For this to happen however she must push them from the nest high above the ground. There are no practice flights for these little budding aviators of the sky. They will fly or they will parish. As a mother, she holds the fear of the latter in her mind and is reluctant to push them from the nest.
It is however her duty as their mother to push them to that they may live out their calling and that calling is flight. So, one by one she nudges her little ones to the edge of the nest and with faith she pushes each one out. She watches as they struggle to find their wings, plummeting faster and faster toward the ground beneath them until finally she see’s the miracle and her babies wings spread open wide as the catch the air beneath them and fly.
You see she could have kept them safe in the nest, but she knows doing this will do them no good, because they would never learn to fly, they would never find their wings, they would never realize their destiny to fly above the clouds. So, with faith she pushes.
Who is holding you back, with the belief they are keeping you safe. Sometimes we must push those we love, so that they may discover who they were meant to be and sometimes we must push ourselves so that we may live the life were destined to live.
So go now and with faith overcome your struggles and find your wings.
